_Maybe this is why I don’t make plans, I ended up coming home sooner then planned. Things happen that are out of our control in life sometimes, but all turned out good.
Wow! What a awesome trip and got to meet lots of people. I will start off with day one, Carlos (who lives and works here in Calgary) and his friend Bernardo (who I met in Toronto a couple of years ago) took me to Carlos sister's family’s home where I left my luggage. I took an overnight bag to Bernardo’s place and what a place, yes a better place then mine, we both have a city and mountain view. I have a river view but he has me beat he has an ocean view on top of a mountain in Valparaiso, Chile. A big place where tourists and cruise ships go. On Day two we went to Bernardo’s sister’s family’s farm for lunch and we went horseback riding in the mountains. Wow what... _Off to Chile today, Argentina for Christmas then Honolulu early in the new year.
I am getting loads of emails about Cuba, so I may get a group of people to go sometime in February, if interested just email me and I will find us a good deal. worldtrippete@yahoo.ca Cheers, Pete _I checked into the real estate in Cuba and I found a place in a city called Matanzas. I found a 6 bedroom 3 bathroom bed & breakfast they call it a casa particular for $80,000 but the problem is you have to have a Cuban partner which means for me a Cuban wife. That is so easy there because most of them will marry me just to get out of the country. Because I have more than they do, anyways to me that is what you would call getting married for the wrong reason.
Wow! Another great holiday that finished way too fast. I really love Cuba and their people. I like to take vacationers away from the resorts and let them see how the Cuba people live. I let them know it is the safest place in the world. The Cubans will want you to come into their homes to eat for a small price, like a lobster dinner would cost $10.00. Some Cubans will let you stay with them for $25.00 a night, just to get out of the comfort zone of the resort. They call it Casa Particular www.casaparticularcuba.org Most of the vacationers that I have met there, that I have taken to Havana or other Cuban towns say that it has been the high light of their holiday.
