They say if it sounds too good to be true, do not believe or trust it (DON'T DO IT).
Well I say investigate it, go by your gut and it may turn out to be true . I saw an unbelievable deal on Sell Off Vacations, I deal with them on most of my trips and when I saw $11.00, (yes eleven dollars in a 3 star all inclusive, plus $414.10 taxes and no extra charge for being single.) I could not believe it myself but I did check into it. I do trust Sell Off and Air Canada Vacation. They have been around forever and they would never put up false advertizing. I am a shopper when it comes to traveling. I remember almost two years ago when I saw a trip to Panama for $2.00, yes two dollars and $197.00 taxes. Again unbelievable, but both of these trips are true. In Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, I arrived at my 3 star resort, Villas Vallarta. The resort was deserted. No one at the front desk, no one in the hotel anywhere to be seen. I loved it. Was I getting this whole big hotel to myself? I saw a phone in the lobby so I dialed 0 for the hotel operator. They told me to cross the street to the 4 star, I could stay there. I went over and gave them my "Travel Cheap with Pete" card. They ended up giving me a large suite with a king size bed, a kitchenette, a bar and a living room with two couches. Again unbelievable! This sister resort, Canto Del Sol was across the street, on the beach. An amazing deal in a beautiful place with excellent service. When I first got off the plane outside of the airport I met a couple. (Bruce and Diana) They were on the same fight and were going to the same resort. Okay, actually they were going to the 4 star Canto Del Sol. A waiting cab took us to our resorts. I had to tell them the deal I got for my trip,. They said "yes, we saw it on Sell Off Vacations, but unfortunately we waited too long to book it." They also got a great deal, so they had no complaints. When I finely got checked in, I met a young lady who was also on our Air Canada flight and got the same deal as me. She called herself L.A. The 4 of us hung out. We caught the public transport outside our hotel. For 70 Canadian cents a ride, we toured the city, then explored downtown Puerto Vallarta. For $3.50, public transit took us winding through the jungle, an hour north to Sayulita, a lovely little surf village. Our third daytrip's destination was Ixtapa, an authentic Mexican village east of Puerto Vallarta. On the last day I got talking to a couple that also got the great deal we got. This guy even works for Air Canada and said there is no way he could have got this good of a deal though his air Canada passes and all.
