 My cheap hotel in Cancun I’m out of here (Calgary)! They are calling for snow again this weekend and I have a couple of buddy passes that I have to use up. The weather looks good in Cancun, I’m taking the red eye Friday night that way I’m saving on accommodations and have the whole day Saturday there. I can sleep well on the plane, coming back Monday or Tuesday night. I’m going back to my cheap hotel the Imperial Laguna Cancun hotel in the hotel zone for only $40,00 a night. A funny thing happened today as I was going up to the money exchange, I got a phone call “You have just won a trip to the Bahamas” of course I hung up and told the girl in front of me from the money exchange and she said o.k where are you off to this time the Bahamas? I said maybe Vegas because I’m feeling lucky today, but I will buy Mexican money too. Tomorrow in Canada the Lotto 649 is up to a record of $55 million, so get out and buy your tickets today and if you win don’t forget where you got the idea from to buy your tickets: today is your lucky day….  My friend Margaret’s 100th birthday I wanted to stay here last weekend as my friend/neighbor turned 100 and I had the privilege to take her to her birthday party with about three hundred friends and her family attending. I would not have missed it for the world (vacation) last week; yes I got to take her in my new/old corvette convertible and we had light snow/rain but she still wanted the top down on the convertible, she was on global tv that night and on the front page of the Calgary sun newspaper they had a small sample picture to go to page 10, read the story, just hit this link, blue area.
